Through Toefu.

This story has a pre-story, and for this entry, the pre-story is the story. I was sitting at Confidential HQ one day, finalizing the slugdepot website, and this guy came in and sat right behind me. He was a cool looking dude - cool glasses, nice pants, big ass camera bag. He sat down and began to work and after only 10 seconds, we both looked at each other and introduced ourselves. His name was Toefu and he said he was a photographer and videographer, working with Justin at Confidential. We immediately started talking about his photography and what he liked to shoot. One of the first things he told me was that he loves to shoot fitness and sports. As I had the SLUG website open, I said, would you ever want to shoot something for SLUG? He said “What’s SLUG?”. Ha, funny you ask. I showed him the sample that was sitting on my chair and he understood it immediately - the brand, the story, how the product came to be. We decided right there and then to work together. 

I did not have the opportunity to meet the man in the film, DJ, yet from what Toefu has told me, he is exceptionally cool, exceptionally dedicated, and super creative … a true slugger. I hope to meet him very soon to thank him.
